Panicos Papamichael - Retired Partner

Panicos is a retired partner at Deloitte in Cyprus. He is a business professional with over 30 years of professional experience. He acted as the Engagement Partner for a number of Risk Advisory projects in a number of industry sectors.

Panicos is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Cyprus, the Institute of Internal Auditors, the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) and the International Compliance Association. He is currently a Board member of the Cyprus Association of Business Consultants a, certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) and in AML. He is also an approved internal auditor for CIFs by Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Cyprus. Panicos has lead numerous projects for the development, design and implementation of IT, Security and Data Privacy systems.

Panicos has delivered a plethora of seminars on Data Governance, digital transformation, Data Security and other related subjects. Panicos provided leadership in data governance and analytics projects that involved various data analytics tools and techniques in the area of data quality, risk management and regulatory compliance.

Yiannis Ioannides - Director

Yiannis is a Director in Deloitte leading the Cyber Risk Services of Deloitte Cyprus with over 10 years of experience. Yiannis is leading the team responsible for providing a number of services including Penetration Testing and Vulnerability Assessments, physical security assessments, social engineering and security configuration reviews.

In addition to the offensive services, Yiannis also leads the cyber strategy team responsible for providing services in the areas of ISO 27001 (Information security, cybersecurity and privacy protection — Information security management systems) and ISO 22301 (Security and resilience – Business continuity management systems) assisting clients through their certification journey. As part of ISO 27001 and EBA Guidelines on ICT and security risk management Yiannis worked collaboratively with clients to identify their risks and vulnerabilities and develop customized risk management strategies and plans that meet the specific needs of the organization including suggesting the necessary controls to mitigate their risks and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Yiannis has also led the implementation and audits of regulations/frameworks including GDPR, EBA Guidelines on ICT and security risk management and PSD2 for large financial services institutions and he is now part of Deloitte’s working group for the Digital Resilience Operational Act (DORA) regulation

In addition, Yiannis is providing technical and non-technical cyber related seminars to clients, internally within Deloitte and at many conferences. He is not an HRDA-approved facilitator but fulfils the additional criterion set by the authority (i.e. facilitated more than 30 hours in an area they are experts in, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in the field).
