Despite its name, the Musée de la Loire has a very diverse collection. In particular, it holds several works or objects relating to the vine and wine trades, which have earned it the Vignobles et découvertes label. It also provides an insight into the vital importance of the river until the 19th century for the Loire wine trade.
This exclusive tour will give visitors the opportunity to discover some of these treasures, which have been taken out of storage for the occasion: statuette of Saint Vincent, vineyard tools and cooper's tools, etc.
It will be followed by a tasting of wines from the Giennois hillsides offered by a winegrower from the appellation. As a complement to the visit to the museum, you will be able to learn more about the wines of the appellation, its terroirs, its grape varieties and all its diversity of expression.
