Memory - whether personal, family or historical - is at the heart of her novels and albums, enabling readers to share their emotions around key moments in history. Crossing the last century thanks to a marvelous embroidered tablecloth (La nappe blanche) or experiencing, through the eyes of a child, a serious moment - Kristallnacht in 1938 - (Le soulier noir): two fine examples of a sensitive work accessible to all.
