Perched 80 meters above sea level, the Carteret lighthouse has watched over the west coast of the Cotentin peninsula for decades, guiding ships between the French coast and the Channel Islands. It is also the guardian of the memories of its occupants and the surrounding area.
This exceptional guided tour is not only an opportunity to access the balcony and enjoy the superb panorama of our coastline, it's also the perfect moment to better understand the history of this emblematic site.
Duration 45 min - Recommended for children aged 6 and over.
Reservations required at the Cotentin Tourist Office.
Bring warm clothing and windbreaker depending on weather conditions.
May be postponed or cancelled in the event of winds exceeding 50km/h and/or thunderstorms.
Minors must be accompanied.
Not suitable for baby carriages / PRM.
Adapted in case of rain.
