A propos du documentaire

Par l’expérience offerte d’un collage d’action et d'immobilité, de lumière et d’obscurité, de son et de silence, AGNIYOGANA explore la richesse des enseignements du Hatha Yoga traditionnel.

Selon la réalisatrice Emma Balnaves (avril 2019), "AGNIYOGANA, le titre du film, réfère à atteler son propre feu interne. C’est ce feu qui transmute et transforme tout être vivant afin qu’il s’éveille, vibre et vive d’avantage."

Biographie

Emma Balnaves, réalisatrice et productrice d'AGNIYOGANA est une enseignante des formes et philosophies traditionnelles du Hatha Yoga internationalement respectée. Elle enseigne depuis 1998.

Après des décennies d’étude et recherche approfondies en yoga, Ayurveda, et autres arts internes, Emma entreprend d’incorporer le spectre complet du processus yoguique dans son enseignement.

AGNIYOGANA est son premier film. La volonté de partager l’essence de ces enseignements et d'amener une meilleure compréhension de tous les aspects de la pratique l'a inspirée à créer AGNIYOGANA.

Emma est l’auteur de trois publications, “Nataraja - the Lord of Multiple Forms”, “Yoga for Women” et “Seasonal Mandala”. Elle est la co-fondatrice et directrice du Shadow Yoga (une forme de Hatha Yoga classique) et de la Nṛtta Sādhanā. Emma réside à Adelaïde, en Australie, avec son époux et partenaire d’enseignement, Shandor Remete.
