Julien Brunetaud is one of France's rare jazz pianists and singers. Specializing in Blues and Boogie Woogie, he is recognized the world over for his expressive voice and touch.As a result, he has crossed paths with many renowned artists, including BB King, Chuck Berry, Big Joe Turner, Dana Gillespie, Keith B. Brown, MoJo Buford, Joe Louis Walker, John Primer and Louisiana Red... who have all called on him.In 2005, Julien Brunetaud won the Trophées France Blues award for Best European Blues Pianist, and went on to play in the USA: in Cincinnati, Ohio, invited by Ricky Nye, in Tucson, Arizona, he opened for Pinetop Perkins, and at the Ebony club in Indianola, Mississippi, he opened for BB King.In 2006, he came second at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis and paid tribute to Roosevelt Sykes at the Chicago Blues Festival.
