Leonhard Völlm studied Protestant church music in Tübingen, culminating in a Cantor 'A' examination in 2013. Further organ training took him to Michel Chapuis (Paris), Peter Planyawsky (Vienna) and Almut Rössler (Düsseldorf).
Study visits to Göteborg and Stockholm completed his musical training.
He was appointed Cantor and Organist of St Martin's Church in Stuttgart-Möhringen in 2014, where he has worked extensively with various musical ensembles and children's and adult choirs. Since 2016, Leonhard Völlm has also been an official organ expert for the Protestant Regional Church of Württemberg. In 2016, he conducted the premiere of his own composition, Wandel der Zeit ("Mutation of an Era") for soloists, choir, organ and percussion in Stuttgart. From 2017 to 2019, he directed the Morello Consort Stuttgart, an ensemble dedicated to 17th- and 18th-century chamber music performed on period instruments.
