And it changes everything! The final moral of Perrault?s fairy tale, which for centuries has been used to convey the guilt of young girls rather than the guilt of the big bad wolves, is turned on its head. So this is a show for today?s children, in which the little girl wandering through the forest is not reckless, suspicious or naïve, but valiant and courageous, crossing dangers to end up victorious.
On stage, an optical device rivals in ingenuity and poetry, and unfolds in a succession of landscape tableaux in which the deep forest, the rustling of the trees, the rays of sunlight streaming through the leaves, the stony path leading to the grandmother?s house create a truly magical space, in which the actors and characters sometimes appear, sometimes disappear.
