Ben Rando | Creatures
Ben Rando explores a new facet of his musical universe. After an album written for six musicians, he chooses to put the piano back at the center of the frame. Inspired as much by the minimalist music of John Cage as by the cinematic pop of Radiohead or the sonatas of Scarlatti, Ben Rando's piano is poetic or percussive, sometimes mutating into lyrical flights of fancy and giving way to surprising improvisations with rich harmonies and captivating rhythms.
Laura Perrudin | TEMPUS TEMPUS is a string solo of variable geometry. Vocal strings, plucked strings, struck strings: the focus is on the vibration and breath that carry each phrase. We play with the tempo, freed from all external constraints, and re-synchronize it with the shifting tempo of our own breathing.
