Mount Kazbek is located on the border between Russia and Georgia, and is the easternmost 5,000-metre mountain in the Caucasus.
The route to Kazbek from Georgia has difficulty category 2A according to the mountaineering classification, but with an experienced instructor it is also suitable for people who have no mountaineering experience.
