Tiffany has selected Maitreyi Vedic Village after almost 2 decades of experience in India and various Ayurvedic Centers. Maitreyi is truly a place of holism and exudes a living presence of the Vedas, and just retreating on this sacred land and in this place, is deeply healing and transformative.

Ayurveda includes a wide variety of treatment programs depending upon the Prakruti (constitution), Vikruti (current state), and other considerations based upon each individual. Due to this, you will receive an initial examination by the head Vaidya (Doctor) Dr. Abilash, after which your unique Treatment Program will be curated and organized. The holistic approach and methodology of Ayurveda treats disease or ailments as symptoms of unrest at a deeper level and hence aims to go to the very root of the issue. Skillful diagnosis, management and follow up are mandatory parts of the treatment, and will all be applied during your 3 week treatment.

Authentic Ayurvedic treatments, given in their traditional and pure form, under the expert guidance of Dr Abilash, will bring longterm, lasting benefits. The serene and peaceful atmosphere of the Vedic Village will add to the healing potency and provides an ideal environment most suitable to inner and outer wellbeing.

In Maitreyi, treatments are not only limited to medicines or to the physical therapies – Ayurveda honours that there is always an element of Rajo Guna of Mind in the cause of diseases. Therefore, in our retreat, we inspire retreatants to combine their Ayurvedic treatments with a Spiritual practice (yoga, meditation, inquiry) since the Sanskrit word ‘Swastha’ – established in the Self – indicates that Self-realization is the basis for perfect health. Ayurveda is practiced to attain complete health on all levels of our Being.

You will be receiving Jeevaniya, which is one of the most intensive treatment programs done at Maitreyi. Jeevaniya is to give and extend life, a type of treatment plan which aims to detoxify the body, reviving the physical wholeness and natural immunity. It is meant for people who due to lifestyle habits or circumstances like polluted environment, have accumulated toxins in their day to day living. These can cause disease in the long term, and the best way to prevent this is to flush the toxins out of the body through Ayurvedic treatments and to then bring gradual change in longterm lifestyle choices.

Panchakarma can be part of your Jeevaniya process. ‘Pancha‐karma’ refers to the five different actions which help to detoxify different parts of our body internally through a systematic process of preparation and elimination. It includes the 5 therapeutic karmas: vamana, virechana, vasthi, nasyam and rakthamoksham. The choice of Panchakarma therapy most suited to you is decided only after diagnosis, and during this retreat Dr. Abhilash will recommend either 1 or 2 of the karmas for elimination and cleansing.

To Deepen the detoxification & regenerative process, this Retreat will also include Daily Yoga + Meditation with Tiffany, as well as ongoing Talks/Classes with Dr Abhilash, Tiffany & Dr Dhanusree.
