# The improvising trio Owsiki, comprising Michal Gizycki, Michal Joniec and Piotr Dabrowski, will visit Poznan's Pan Gar.
Giżycki is a clarinetist and saxophonist, associated with the Poznan improvised music scene. He uses extended instrumental techniques, such as circular breathing and multiphonics, through which he creates multi-layered structures on seemingly monophonic instruments. He has collaborated with musicians from the Polish, European and world scenes of improvised, experimental, jazz, rock, folk and traditional music of many cultures. Over the past few years, he has repeatedly played with Europe's top improvisers at the Spontaneous Music Festival and Spontaneous Live Series in Poznan. He currently co-founded Country Roads, Satori Duo, Black Earth, IS, the Giżycki/Joniec duo and a duo with Matthias Müller; he also runs the Torf Records label. In 2022, he created music for bass clarinet solo for the short film *Burial* (*Burial*) by Jerzy Czachowski.
