Lidia Plaza es una cantaora almeriense formada con artistas de la talla de Sonia Miranda en la Escuela de Música del el Parador, Escuela de Cante Flamenco Fernando Rodríguez en Granada, Escuela de Cante Flamenco Peña El Morato, en el conservatorio Superior de Música Manuel Masotti Littel de Murcia con el profesor y Catedrático Curro Piñana. Ha ido perfeccionando su cante en ambientes flamencos de peñas y asociaciones en las diferentes ciudades de la geografía andaluza.
Más allá de sus actuaciones en Andalucía, Girona o en Italia participa en espectáculos como “El Cancionero Flamenco”, La Condesa de la Alhambra, “Sueños de Carmen de Burgos”, “Los Sonidos del Alma”, “Duende de Oriente”. En el actualidad lleva a cabo el espectáculo “De tu caminar” y el de “Flamencas”, los cuales han tenido muy buenas críticas en la prensa cultural. Buen recorrido por diferentes circuitos y festivales flamencos en Almería y parte de Andalucía.
Además, ha interpretado como solista la obra de “El Amor Brujo” de Falla por diferentes Teatros de España e Italia y distintas Orquestas Sinfónicas. Entre ellas, la Orquesta Sinfónica de San Remo, Orquesta Sinfónica de la Región de Murcia, de Llíria (Valencia), Orquesta Sinfónica de conservatorio de Murcia, etc. Todas ellas dirigidas por grandes directores/as de la talla de José Miguel Rodilla, Virginia Martínez entre otros.
Graduada en los estudios de Grado Superior de Música y Artes Escénicas en la especialidad de “Cante Flamenco”. Ha sido profesora acompañante de cante flamenco en el Conservatorio profesional de Danza “Fortea” de Madrid. Actualmente es profesora acompañante de cante flamenco en el Conservatorio Profesional de Danza Kina Jiménez de Almería.
