LAJ Landmarks Challenge

The LAJ Landmarks Challenge is a challenge, not a race. This event will send you all around the city collecting landmarks. Each landmark will be assigned a value based on its distance from the start and its difficulty to find. The goal is to accumulate as many points as you can within the 90-minute time limitation. Landmarks will be provided ONLY before the start of the mandatory briefing. Rain or shine we run!

Athletes are required to compete in teams. Team of 2 people of any gender. 4€ per person, or 8€ per team. During the event, your team must start together; run together; find the landmarks together (take selfies); and finish together. A team finishes when its LAST member crosses the finish line.

A bag check will be provided at Race HQ. Please arrive with enough time to check in and prepare to start based on the schedule below. You will be required to run with your phone. You and your teammate will be expected to take selfies with the landmarks and have your race uploaded to Strava. The team that makes it back with the most points before the timing cut-off will receive a cash prize. In the event of a tie, the fastest time wins, and if multiple teams finish simultaneously we will use a quiz night tiebreaker question.

The unmarked course will take athletes through Madrid via the streets, bridges, sidewalks, parks, and landmarks.

All money raised will go to prize money: 1st place is 30€, 2nd place is 20€ and 3rd place is 10€.

El LAJ Landmarks Challenge es un desafío, no una carrera. Este evento te enviará por toda la ciudad recogiendo puntos de referencia. A cada punto de referencia se le asignará un valor en función de su distancia desde el inicio y su dificultad de encontrar. El objetivo es acumular tantos puntos como puedas dentro del límite de tiempo de 90 minutos. Los puntos de referencia se proporcionarán ÚNICAMENTE antes del inicio de la sesión informativa obligatoria. ¡Llueva o haga sol, corremos!

Los atletas deben competir en equipos. Equipo de 2 personas de cualquier género. 4€ por persona, o 8€ por equipo. Durante el evento, tu equipo debe comenzar junto; correr juntos; encontrar puntos de referencia juntos (tomar selfies); y terminar juntos. Un equipo termina cuando su ÚLTIMO miembro cruza la línea de meta.

Se proporcionará un control de equipaje en la sede de la carrera. Llegue con tiempo suficiente para registrarse y prepararse para comenzar según el cronograma a continuación. Se le pedirá que ejecute con su teléfono. Se espera que usted y su compañero de equipo se tomen selfies con los puntos de referencia y carguen su carrera en Strava. El equipo que regrese con la mayor cantidad de puntos antes del límite de tiempo recibirá un premio en efectivo. En caso de empate, gana el tiempo más rápido, y si varios equipos terminan simultáneamente, usaremos una pregunta de desempate en la noche del cuestionario.

El recorrido sin señalizar llevará a los atletas por Madrid a través de calles, puentes, aceras, parques y lugares emblemáticos.

Todo el dinero recaudado se destinará a premios en metálico: el 1.er puesto será de 30€, el 2.º lugar será de 20€ y el 3.er lugar será de 10€.
