We are going to live for a month in one of the wildest spaces in Europe. We are going to live wild, as close as possible to nature, as close as possible to our ancestral way of life, to find our place within an ecosystem where life still has the space and time to flourish in all diversity, the last great old forest in Europe.
This place is the sanctuary of the only “sylvan” people of Europe, the Sámi, committed to livestock breeding only around 500 years ago, compared to around 8000 years for the rest of Europe. The Sámi have managed to keep part of their roots and their way of life to this day, leaving us a precious heritage today.
This timeless heritage opens a path to a life in the great outdoors. It opens us to a way of living together, between generations and between living species, members of our family.
