The inaugural event was focused on Swiss music, but shortly after that the festival started racking up international headliners. Nowadays Openair St.Gallen stocks its lineups with world-renowned alternative rock acts. Past guests of the festival include Nine Inch Nails, Placebo, and 30 Seconds to Mars.
