The Poteau Chamber of Commerce will host the 17th annual Cavanal Killer 8k on May 11th. Our theme for 2024 is "Engage", so we invite you to "Engage the Challenge" of climbing the world's highest hill. If you are not fimiliar with this event, it's a once way 5 mile trip to the top of the worldest hillest hill (elevation at the top: 1999 ft.). After finish and enjoying refreshements at the top, participants are shuttled back down to the start. This event is designed to promote fitness and inspiring particpants with the great accomplishment of getting to the top, whether it be by walking, jogging, or running.
