Guests explore the surrounding environment while listening to the music through wireless headphones, creating an immersive experience that fosters a connection with the music, nature, and with one another. About this location
Join us for IN A LANDSCAPE at Cant Ranch Historic District at the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument, a bygone ranch in Dayville, Oregon, where the sheep grazed and drank from the cool John Day river nearby. Picture yourself immersed in the enchanting melodies of Liszt and Chopin, surrounded by friends, all within a landscape where Patriofelis once pursued grazing Orohippus. The piano will be set on the lawn next to the farmhouse where abundant trees provide audience shade. Concert check-in opens at 5:00 pm, and the performance begins at 6:00 pm.
Cant Ranch is in a very remote location with few services and no cell signal. Please plan ahead with printed directions, bottled water, and ample preparations for extreme weather.
This event takes place on the ancestral and occupied homeland of the Umatilla, Northern Paiute, Tenino, Cayuse, and other tribes.
