READ & RIDE - A Dog's Devotion

Dirty Freehub is excited to host an in-person event for this year’s READ & RIDE program. Join fellow gravel cyclists and book enthusiasts for a weekend filled with book-related events and gravel rides.

This year’s book selection is A Dog’s Devotion, by Suzanne Elshult and Guy Mansfield. The book tells the true adventures of Keb, a yellow lab trained in search and rescue. One mission brings Keb and her team to Oso, where the 2014 landslide tragically destroyed 49 homes and ended the lives of 43 people. This weekend-long event will include a slideshow by the authors about their Oso mission, a book discussion with the authors, a dog search demo, and of course, gravel rides to visit the Oso landslide and memorial. This event is open to the entire community. We have reserved the Whitehorse Campground for those who wish to camp. Spaces are limited.
