Join us at the Darrington Library on the first Thursday of the month for book discussion & socializing. For this October 3rd meeting, we will read The Emergency by Thomas Fisher.

Determined to follow his family's legacy, Thomas Fisher studied public health at Dartmouth and Harvard, then returned to the University of Chicago Medical School. As soon as he graduated, he began working in the ER that served his South Side community. This is the story of a dramatic year in the life of the Chicago ER, interwoven with the primer in healthcare one doctor wishes he could give his patients.

Copies of the book will be available at the Darrington Library during the month of September on a first come, first served basis.
