Whitney MongeAmericana artist Whitney Monge began her career busking at Seattle’s Pike Place Market where she built a fan base, a career and some fine chops in the folk soul world. The Northwest explosion continued and the Seattle Symphony invited her to perform and record. Monge is an all in one singer, songwriter, gifted acoustic and electric guitar player earning rave reviews with mesmerizing performances both bold and intimate. She starts a set in sultry rhythm like a slow burner oozing with soul, and proceedes to deliver enthralling sets full of natural born talent.

Monge has appeared in film in the award-winning documentary Find Your Way: A Busker's Documentary (2014),[1][3] featuring Chris Ballew of The Presidents of the United States of America and world renowned violinist Joshua Bell,[4] on the television program Band in Seattle (2015),[5] and acted in the short film Stella (2010).

Busking is both a brave and vulnerable way to start a blossoming career. It built Monge a cross over audience and then she crossed right over to the east coast music capitol, Ashville, N.C. where she now resides. On a national tour with new music along with old favorites, Monge returns to Seattle’s Triple Door before sailing over to Kitsap County and gracing Stage3. She’s strong, talented and delightful in an intimate listening room.
