Catamount Arts is pleased to announce genre-bending Americana duo Cold Chocolate, at York Street Meeting House, presented by the Upright Steeple Society on Saturday, March 9th, at 7pm. Cold Chocolate fuses folk, funk, and bluegrass for a rousing live performance that defies classification.

Cold Chocolate features Ethan Robbins on guitar and mandolin and Ariel Bernstein on percussion and banjo. The Boston power duo’s tight harmonies, evocative songwriting, and riveting arrangements have earned them shared bills with Angelique Kidjo, Leftover Salmon and David Grisman, and coveted slots in popular venues and music festivals nationwide.

A classical violinist from age four, Robbins fell in love with the guitar when he turned fourteen and his father bought him five influential albums by The Band, Bob Dylan, John Hartford, Hank Williams, and the Grateful Dead. Captivated by those raw, rootsy sounds, Robbins later explored at Oberlin College how they might stretch and deepen bluegrass music’…
