John went from an average gym guy with no throwing background to a Pro-Heavyweight. In addition, he then reinvented himself as a Lightweight world record holder and National Champion, and now on to a Masters LW World Champion in his 20 year throwing career. Most importantly, he has coached many successful Highland Games athletes individually, and taught many clinics over the last 15 years in the US and Canada. Now he is bringing the 7th annual one-of-a-kind, in-depth immersion training camp, back to Bend, Oregon this May.

Days will be broken down into lifting and throwing segments, while covering educational topics throughout. These will include all of the "tips of the pros", from nutrition, recovery, mindset and mobility, spread over the 2-day weekend. This event will open the door to the principles and tools to throw well, but you will come away with so much more than just the technical aspects of the throwing. This will be a true small group experience with only 5 participants max. All of the implements will be available, including cabers and all weight class implements. This training camp is for athletes with at least 1 year of competition in their history and a recent strength training background, who are ready to take the next step in their throwing career- to move up a full class or breakthrough to the top of their class.

This will be a true world-class learning experience for all of those who attend with this 2 day event with 15+ hours of personalized hands-on learning time on John's private 5 acre property.
