PRETEEN GIRLS GROUP

Come join us for a fun and empowering gathering of preteen girls! This event is all about building friendships, boosting confidence, and having a great time together. We'll have engaging activities, meaningful discussions, and lots of laughter. It's a safe space to be yourself, share your thoughts, and learn from each other. Don't miss out on the chance to connect with other girls your age and grow in a supportive environment. See you there!

This is a 12 week preteen girl group starting April 3rd. It will be every Wednesday from 6:30-8:30. We will be doing a group discussion and activity each week. The goal is to give 11 & 12 year old girls the tools to navigate difficult and new situations. There is a core focus on emotional intelligence and being true to themselves.

Each week we will review a conversation topic. Some examples:

"How to manage when friends are talking about you"
"Your prefrontal cortex, amygdala & fluctuating hormones... navigating problem solving & decion making"
"Why is everyone looking at me? It is so embarrassing!"
"Body changes, self care & loving yourself"
"Finding your passion: trying new things, sucking & learning about yourself"
"Personal accountability: what is it & why it can be so hard & why it is matters"There are some topics that will be lightly touched on but is designed to help you have conversations at home.

The following topics will be age appropriate & I will provide a detailed document with all speaking points so you can decide if you feel comfortable with it."What is intimacy & why do I care? Platonic vs physical & the complex related emotions""Facts about alcohol, tobacco, cannabis & other substances."
This will be very fact based about each substance's impacts on physiology, emotions & safe decision making. We will discuss the potential long term consequences of engaging in substances at an early age. As well as what to do if they are in a position they aren't comfortable with.
