Join local clean water advocates for a cleanup along Germantown River from 9 AM to Noon for the 13th Annual Riverkeeper Sweep. This is a rain or shine event.
Volunteers will meet at Lasher Memorial Park, on the Hudson River and the end of Anchorage Rd in Germantown. This is our starting location. We will conduct the cleanup along approximately 2 miles of shoreline of Germantown River up to Cheviot Park, Cheviot Rd, Germantown, NY, our ending location. Parking is available. We will provide car shuttles returning volunteers to Lasher Memorial Park from Cheviot Park, or volunteers can walk back to our starting point.
We recommend that all Sweep volunteers bring a hat, sunscreen, a full reusable water bottle, insect repellent, work gloves and hand sanitizer.
This site is not suitable for elementary-aged children.

- Volunteers are required to pre-register for Sweep.
- Volunteers should not participate if they have ANY signs of illness or if they have potentially been exposed to COVID-19.
Over the last 12 years, Sweep leaders have completed 1,199 service projects, bringing together thousands of volunteers from NYC to the Adirondacks to clean up 355 tons of debris, and plant or maintain 7,130 native plants. This incredible effort is made possible by the generosity of our members, sponsors, and donors.
