Created by RiverWest Dental, the Idaho Falls Sidewalk Chalk Festival is a free event open to the community that celebrates the incredible talent of local artists. We invited everyone to come support and admire the stunning art creations.

Are you an artists? Have you spent some time working with chalk?! The #IFCHALKFEST invites you to register for the event and win cash prizes for showcasing your skills.

CHALK PROS

Chalk Pros compete with incredibly talented and seasoned chalk artists. Many of our Chalk Pros attend several of these events in a year. Their art always stuns. Chalk Pros are used to scratched knees and sore elbows in their efforts to create life-like art pieces. First place prize for the Chalk Pros is $1,000.

CHALK NOVICES

Chalk Novices compete with chalk artists who are just starting to join the competitive scene. They've spent some time knowing the medium and wish to create vibrant and eye catching pieces for the community and judges. First place prize for Chalk Novices is $500.

CONCRETE CONQUERORS | Ages 15 - 18

Concrete Conquerors are between the ages of 15 and 18. This age bracket often delivers some of our top pieces. Most of our Concrete Conquerors are first timers but know their way around a jumbo chalk stick. Our first place prize for the Concrete Conquerors is $200.

CHALK CRUSHERS | Ages 11 - 14

Chalk Crushers are between the ages of 11 and 14. This junior bracket brings creativity and spirit to the festival. Our Chalk Crushers have wowed their peers and neighbors but now it is time to show the community what you've got! Our first place prize for the Chalk Crushers is $100.

POWER POWDERS | Ages 7 - 10

Power Powders are between the ages 7 - 10. Power Powders bring true grit and artistic spirit to the festival. Every year we're surprised by the imagination and focus of the Power Powders. Come be surrounded and supported by those of your age as you enter the world of chalk art!

What's all the chalk about? Create an art piece you think our community members will love! All artists will have an opportunity to win a $300 cash prize in our peoples choice award. Spectators and local residents can vote for their favorite piece up to a week after the event here.
