This ceramic class challenges you to push the boundaries of perception and materiality. We will transform clay into seemingly real objects, blurring the lines between art and everyday life. By encouraging students to use ceramic's inherent ability to mimic textures, forms and play with scale to create sculptures that play with perception and defy expectations.

Moving beyond purely representational works, students will explore how ceramic sculpture can challenge the function and purpose of familiar objects. This could involve creating non-functional replicas of everyday items, or transforming objects into something entirely new and unexpected.
