While Messer Chups’ mostly instrumental sound is hard to neatly categorize, it’s safe to say that it would be embraced by fans of rockabilly, horror punk, vintage surf records, Italian slasher films, My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult, Pulp Fiction, lounge music, the theremin, The Cramps, and the theme song from The Munsters. Their catchy music combines surf, vintage Russian melodies, rare film samples from the 50s and 60s, scratchy historical recordings, and lounge loops. Live, they explode with garage-punk intensity, all played against a video-collage backdrop of mid-century trashy cult and horror movie clips featuring Russ Meyer and Ed Wood, and superstars like Vampira and Bela Lugosi in a zombie mash-up.

Goners UK. Fast Paced. Gritty. Loud. Progressive. Punk Rock & Roll. Starting in late 2016 by Just James(vocals), Chris Goner(guitar) and Mark Brown(drums), from (then acoustic) band, Battlestations. Along with Feather on guitar and Drunkpunk on bass. Both from acoustic outfit, Heterophobe. With DP making his exit, enters Rob. As the story goes, at a show DP tells Rob he’s leaving. Rob says “I’ll play Bass”. Supposedly Rob never played a bass. A week later Rob shows up to the gig knowing all the songs. Allegedly… Since 2018 this lineup has been consistently touring their home state of Montana and the PNW. Goners UK has had the fortune of sharing the stage with such acts as, D.O.A., Agent Orange, The Casualties, Gallows Bound, The Lucitones, Clowns, Green Jello, Swingin’ Utters, MDC, Get Dead, Supersuckers, just to name a few. Since 2016 Goners UK have released 3 demos, 1 full length, and have appeared on 3 compilations. With the whirlwind of 2020 starting right off the bat, Goners UK took to their studio to write and record. Their new album "Depth Perception" is set to release August 28, 2020. “Really digging in to the dark stuff on this new record”, James said. Goners UK is no slouch when it comes to politicly charged topics and social injustice. “From poverty to class war to world war to domestic abuse to political terrorism to racism to fuck the police. No stone unturned on this one.” James goes on to say. The van is gassed up and ready to hit the road!
