Free Dinner and 45-Minute Presentation on Mental Health & Mining for Residents in Carbon and Emery Counties

At this FREE dinner hosted by the Southeast Utah Health Department, USU Extension HEART, and the USU Community and Natural Resources Institute (CANRI), Dr. Koci will be sharing the findings from her dissertation “Wellbeing, Mental Health, and Natural Resource Dependency in Rural Utah.” Dr. Koci's dissertation focused on Carbon County and Price and included how mining impacts mental health in the area. She will discuss mental health stigma as well as needed resources and solutions for addressing mental health for this at-risk population and for the broader community.

Free Dinner, Narcan Training, and Raffle

This event will include a free meal, Narcan training, and raffle. Resource booths will be present and available to those in attendance.
