Respite for Parents. A Very Special Spring Break for Adults with Special Needs
Adults with special needs deserve an adult spring break. Not another massive group camp experience designed for children.
This four-day Lake Tahoe Spring Break will be for four adults with special needs, maximum. No bunk beds.
Joyce, Special Needs Living program director, has the passion, and decades of experience, to help adults with special needs live full lives.
Your special needs loved ones will be picked up and dropped off at their home, or a location of your choosing en route to Lake Tahoe.
They will stay at the beautiful Tahoe Beach and Ski Club, in a two or three bedroom condo, where they will have their own bed and may share a room with just one other person (non co-ed).
As a small group they will choose their activities from the smorgasbord available:
- Rubicon, Sand Harbor, Stateline and Cascade Trails
- Emerald Bay State Park
- Palisades Ski Resort
- Heavenly Gondola
- Fallen Leaf Campground
- Tallac Historic Site
- King’s Beach
- Bliss State Park and Beaches
Plus unstructured activities: The pool and hot tub are available and heated year-round. Hang out by the campfire. Have a game night. A picnic lunch the next day. A truly fun and grown-up time!
Regional center clients MAY be reimbursed, especially those who do self-determination. Please discuss with your regional center coordinator. Special Needs Living is not vendorized and works best with self determination. Please click here for more information:
Includes 1:1 supervision, all meals and pickup/dropoff between the South Bay, Peninsula, and San Francisco, and any point thereafter within a 5-mile radius of the 680/80/50 route to Lake Tahoe. If you live outside this radius, pickup/dropoff can be arranged at a mall or other public meeting place within 5 miles of the 680/80/50 route to Lake Tahoe. Feel free to contact us for more detail.
