Note: Initiation is required for all 2024 retreats. If you attended a Women Rising Wild retreat previously, we welcome you back as a returning circle elder. New women are welcome to register through self-directed inquiry or personal invitation by one of our existing pack fire tenders. Each new woman will be be welcomed with a 1:1 orientation via Zoom and initiation/blessing ceremony on retreat.


Initiation and Wild Temple among Wolves in Colorado 4 Day / 3 Night Event Details

Time:
Meet in Westcliffe at noon Thursday for caravan to our retreat site and Mission: Wolf sanctuary. Our time together for all events concludes our Sunday at 1pm. We will remain onsite throughout the duration of our retreats.

Location in Colorado:
Women Rising Wild takes place near the town of Westcliffe at Mission: Wolf sanctuary in the Wet Mountains of southcentral Colorado. The drive from Denver to the retreat site is approximately four hours. Denver International Airport is our closest major airport. Parking on site for Women Rising Wild is limited and we want to minimize our carbon footprint so carpooling is strongly encouraged. Specific details and driving directions will be provided to participants after registering for the event.

4 days of raw, unplugged, wild, immersion in nature for connection in a remote wilderness setting and wolf sanctuary
Sleep under the stars or tent camp

What’s Included:
8 organic, gourmet meals prepared as a village. These include: dinner on Thursday; breakfast, lunch, and dinner Friday and Saturday; and breakfast on Sunday. Vegan and gluten-free options available.
3 nights camping
Private Facebook or Telegram Group for connection, planning, and post-retreat integration
$10 donation donation to Mary’s Grace Scholarship for single moms and survivors of domestic violence
2 hours of personalized one-on-one support for your Women Rising Wild experience. This includes one private 30-minute coaching session before our event and one 90-minute session after retreat.

What’s Not Included:
Transportation to and from retreat is not provided. However, carpool is encouraged and supported.
$60 membership donation to Mission: Wolf sanctuary. Please pay this directly to Mission: Wolf here four weeks prior to our event.

Investment for Women Rising Wild Community Retreat with Wolves in Colorado:
We are thrilled to announce a new price structure for these events. At Women Rising Wild with wolves in Colorado we build our village together from the forest floor – up. All hands are needed. Pay registration in full for the option to show up and support village set up and breakdown on the first and last day of retreat with everyone. Or choose a reciprocity project and a lower registration price. View and sign up for your optional Summer Solstice 2024 reciprocity project here. Sign up for a Labor Day reciprocity project here. * Please note that projects marked with a star require travel on the Colorado Front Range and are suitable for local residents. Other projects may be supported by women traveling in from farther distances. In the case that someone becomes unavailable to support the reciprocity project they chose, the full registration must be paid. In the case this change is made within two weeks of retreat an additional fee of $100 will be added to the balance due. Wild Heart Revival events are substance free. Use of alcohol, tobacco, cannabis, and mind altering substances is prohibited. We welcome you just as you are, unaltered, and in your true nature while on retreat with us.
Note to women with dependent children: Women with dependent children may bring a female caregiver for their child. Male caregivers may create their own separate camp nearby so that mothers may visit with their children on breaks between activities and as necessary for feeding, etc. Please be in contact with us to discuss further these kinds of accommodations to support your presence at Women Rising Wild.


Meet our Founder and Visionary for Women Rising Wild

Melissa Lynn Reed is the visionary for Women Rising Wild and founder of Wild Heart Revival, LLC. She is a fourth generation healer and transformational wilderness guide. Melissa holds a BA and MS in ecology and she is presently pursuing her doctorate in psychology with a focus in consciousness and spiritual studies. Melissa has over 30 years experience as a wildlife biologist specializing in studies of rare and endangered mammals. Melissa is a seasoned tracker, master medicine weaver, yogini, and mystic with deep and intimate ties with nature. She has led more than 200 nature-based workshops and guided more than 80 multi-day science and adventure retreats for more than 2000 adults and children. Summer 2023 Melissa hosted her 20th transformational Women Rising Wild wilderness retreat.
