ERIN MCKEOWN

ERIN MCKEOWN is a musician, writer, and producer who has released 11 albums since her 2000 debut, Distillation. As a bandleader, she has performed at Bonnaroo, Glastonbury, and Newport Folk Festivals. McKeown’s songs are a familiar presence on NPR and the BBC and have appeared in commercials, film, and television. A graduate of Brown, Erin has been a resident artist at Providence, RI’s AS220, a 2011 fellow at Harvard’s Berkman-Klein Center, the recipient of a 2016 writing fellowship from The Studios of Key West, and a 2020-21 Professor of the Practice at Brown University. Her first musical, Miss You Like Hell, co-written with Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Quiara Alegría Hudes, premiered Off-Broadway at The Public Theater, garnered 5 Drama Desk Nominations, and was named “Best Musical of 2018” by the Wall Street Journal. Her latest album is Kiss Off Kiss, released in September 2021.


SPOUSE

Western Massachusetts-based SPOUSE has existed under the general radar for the better part of three decades. These indie rockers have been honing their versatile brand of alternative pop across seven full-length albums and a handful of singles and EPs, evoking the raw grit of The Replacements and the unpredictable dynamics of Pixies in the process. Lead singer and guitarist José Ayerve’s is often joined by J. J. O’Connell on drums, multi-instrumentalist Ken Maiuri on guitars, bass, and keys, and Marc Seedorf on bass. The SPOUSE family is extensive and includes notable co-writers and collaborators Liz Bustamante, Dan Pollard, Erin McKeown, and Alisha Goldblatt.
