Laser induced white emission

Laser-induced white emission is a broadband light in the visible spectral range. This phenomenon was reported for the first time by Jiwei Wang and Peter Tanner in 2010 for fully concentrated lanthanide oxides in vacuum, excited by a focused beam of infrared laser diode operating in continuous wave mode.

Laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy is a type of atomic emission spectroscopy which uses a highly energetic laser pulse as the excitation source. The laser is focused to form a plasma, which atomizes and excites samples.

Laser-induced fluorescence

Laser-induced fluorescence or laser-stimulated fluorescence is a spectroscopic method in which an atom or molecule is excited to a higher energy level by the absorption of laser light followed by spontaneous emission of light.
