Kirchhoff's circuit laws are two equalities that deal with the current and potential difference in the lumped element model of electrical circuits. They were first described in 1845 by German physicist Gustav Kirchhoff. This generalized the work of Georg Ohm and preceded the work of James Clerk Maxwell. Widely used in electrical engineering, they are also called Kirchhoff's rules or simply Kirchhoff's laws. These laws can be applied in time and frequency domains and form the basis for network analysis.

Simplicial group

In mathematics, more precisely, in the theory of simplicial sets, a simplicial group is a simplicial object in the category of groups. Similarly, a simplicial abelian group is a simplicial object in the category of abelian groups. A simplicial group is a Kan complex. The Dold–Kan correspondence says that a simplicial abelian group may be identified with a chain complex. In fact it can be shown that any simplicial abelian group is non-canonically homotopy equivalent to a product of Eilenberg–MacLane spaces, A commutative monoid in the category of simplicial abelian groups is a simplicial commutative ring.
