“Stabat mater furiosa” par l’Orchestre Régional de Normandie

In this program, the Orchestre Régional de Normandie presents Stabat Mater Furiosa, a poignant text by poet, novelist and playwright Jean-Pierre Siméon, winner of the Académie française?s Grand Prix de poésie in 2022 for his body of work.
This poignantly topical play is the lonely cry of a woman, played here by actress Anne Girouard, who rebels against war and violence.
First staged in 1999 by Christian Schiaretti, this play by a poet who came to the theater has been staged over sixty times in France, translated into seven languages and performed in fourteen countries. Its universality is clear: it touches the heart of every spectator.
Two musicians join Anne Girouard to give a new dimension to Jean-Pierre Siméon?s text, combining two instruments known to reflect the soul and the voice: the cello and the accordion.
