National Arts Month is an annual celebration throughout February which is geared towards showcasing the artistic talent of Filipinos as well as providing avenues for artists to channel their creativity through different mediums like dancing, drawing, painting and crafts, music and singing, photography and film, woodworking as well as cooking. Every year calls for a different theme highlighting the role of arts in the life of the Filipinos. The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCAA) in collaboration with the local government culture and arts agencies of every city leads the implementation of the activities and programs for the event. In Silay City, we feature local artists and their art presenting the city’s rich culture as well as a variety of delectable delicacies and sustainable tourism.
